Logo




















This logo didn't take me long to make because I wanted to keep it simple and true to me. The logo I made was inspired by the tail of a thresher shark because I love the ocean and always have since I was younger. Thresher sharks are known in the shark finning industry for being invaluable when it comes to their meat so they are often caught and used as bait to catch other sharks that have valuable meat and thresher sharks are one of my favorite sharks because of how pretty they are as well as their tails and the use of them. Thresher shark's tails can grow to about twenty feet in length and are used like a whip to stun prey so that the shark can then eat it. When I came to The University of Tampa I came as a marine biology major because it is a topic I love and find very interesting and in high school I learned about shark finning and the different problems humanity has placed on ocean life and it became something I am very passionate about. Knowing the affects humanity has on ocean life I feel I have a purpose to inform others on the impact we have and it is a necessary aspect of life and without a majority of ocean life humans would be unable to survive because of the effects on the food chains. The ocean is also a very vast and beautiful interesting aspect of life and I find so much natural beauty in it from deep sea creatures to common well known species. I also love the ocean for its sports and since I grew up on the ocean I have learned to surf, windsurf, paddleboard, kneeboard, fish, and do many other activities. This logo represents a big aspect of my life and who I am as a person so I believe this logo does a great job representing me and my life.

My final project, the portfolio of all the work I did all year was fun to make. I enjoyed looking back on all the projects I created and putting them into a book. It was fairly easy to make and didn't take long. I'm glad I got to see all my work put into a portfolio and enjoyed this as my last project.

HTML5 Final Project

For my final project I recreated a cubist rendering of the paintings Mona Lisa combined with Starry Night by Vanessa Stark. I used this as my inspiration because the combinations of the different art pieces by different artists along with the added cubism really captured my attention and I enjoy art that is different. It took me about 12 hours to complete this project because of all of the different shapes and details that were in the piece. This class was also the first time I ever used Dreamweaver as well as coding in general. My initial vision of what I had in mind for my project was going to be more fluid and blended on the right side of the face, however since I’m new to Dreamweaver I had a tough time drawing on it. Although it wasn’t fluid, I came to enjoy my geometric version of it better because it was my version of it and I believe that’s what art is all about, putting your own spin on what you create. BW to Color

This project took me about 5 hours to complete because I was having difficulty placing the different colors on the image. The image itself at some point changed size and is very detailed with the car so it was impossible to use the same image for different color themes. I also could not take the color away from the image and then add color back so I had to edit the image and put a black and white filter over it and save it that way. I would have enjoyed this project if I did not run into such difficulty with all six images.
